School Stuff: For Teachers

school blocks Welcome to BritainUSA.com 4Kids!

As you know, students—even elementary school students—use the World Wide Web to do their homework and research for school projects.

This site can help kids learn more about all things British.

For instance, we have sections devoted to British History & Geography, the many differences between British English and American English, sports in Britain and life in the U.K.

How is life different for kids in Britain? These and other questions can be answered by using the 4kids site.

Also, if kids are looking for photos (and they love photos), we have a picture gallery. There are pictures from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as well as images of London, the Royal Family and castles.

We also have information about Pen Pals. And scouts might want to visit our section on the Citizenship in the World Merit Badge. It includes information on how to write the Embassy.

The main BritainUSA site and our FAQs are also very helpful resources for answering questions about British life, culture, business, science and technology and government.

You might also wish to know about the British Council USA, which actively promotes British education and training through its office in Washington D.C. and on its web site.

The British Council supports the work of teachers through a number of innovative programs, including International Education Week, the Teachers International Professional Development, and the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program. You might want to visit them online.

Lastly, we'll be improving and regularly adding content to the 4Kids site in the coming months.

We'd certainly welcome your input.
