Welcome to the British Consulate, Denver. This office covers the State of Colorado.
The United Kingdom and Colorado have a longstanding relationship that predates Colorado's statehood in 1876. Today the UK is one of Colorado's most important international partners. It is one of the largest investors, and foreign providers of jobs, in Colorado. The UK is also a major market for goods and services produced by local companies.
The role of the Consulate is to continue to strengthen and enhance the existing strong ties between the UK and Colorado. To do this, we will further develop and deepen our diplomatic, economic and business relationships. As well as continuing to maintain the good relationships with the State government, City and local administrations throughout Colorado, the Consulate will be building links between the UK and Colorado by working with a broad range of local organisations in the economic , academic, research, technology, educational and social fields. All of this work will support the UK government's International Strategic Priorities.
The Consulate can only provide limited Consular services and advice to British citizens and members of the public. It does not issue passports (except in an emergency) or visas. Our customers, should, in the first instance, consult our website.
Our Consulate General in Chicago deals with UK Trade and Investment work, but the Consulate can help with initial enquiries.
