Welcome from the Consul-General

It is my pleasure to extend a very warm welcome to the Sunshine State of Florida. The Sunshine State is home to many thousands of British citizens and is a major tourist destination for many more.

Our experienced staff in Florida can help you with a wide range of services including consular, trade and investment, and press and public affairs. The Consulate General in Miami handles all political, business, law enforcement, and press/public affairs matters, and is also able to provide consular assistance. The Consulate in Orlando handles consular assistance throughout the region. All non consular enquiries should be referred to the Consulate General in Miami.

The UK/Florida relationship is strong and growing, with a thriving trade and investment relationship and cooperation between academic institutions and law enforcement agencies. In July 2007, the UK and Florida signed a Partnership on Climate Change, which commits the UK to work with Florida to help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and develop renewable and alternative energies.

I hope that you find this website and the associated links informative and helpful, whether your interest is in doing business with Britain, visiting our country or simply learning more about it. We are here to help if we can.

Best Regards,
Keith Allan
