British Council USA Graduate Funding & Scholarships
Offers valuable information about funding and scholarships, including a scholarship database that allows US students and postdocs to search for UK awards based on subject and level of study.
Marshall Scholarships
Provides details and application for the prestigious Marshall Scholarship, which funds at least 40 high-achieving recent graduates of U.S. universities each year to study either at graduate or occasionally undergraduate level at a UK institution in any field of study. Each Scholarship is held for two years. In addition to the 40 regular scholarships, up to two post-doctoral Marshall Sherfield Fellowships in science and engineering are awarded each year. The aim of the Marshall Sherfield Fellowships is to introduce American scientists and engineers to the cutting edge of UK science and engineering. It is intended that this in turn will build longer-term contacts and international links between the United Kingdom and the United States in key scientific areas.
Rhodes Scholarships
The Rhodes Scholarships are the oldest international fellowships. American Rhodes Scholars are selected through a decentralized process by which regional selection committees choose 32 Scholars each year from among those nominated by selection committees in each of the fifty states. Rhodes Scholars are elected for two years of study at the University of Oxford, with the possibility of renewal for a third year.
