Barack Obama Visits Downing Street
10 Downing Street, 7/26/2008

Foreign policy issues, including Iraq and the Middle East, were high on the agenda as US presidential nominee Barack Obama met with Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Senator Obama is on a worldwide tour that has taken him to Iraq and Israel, and the two men compared notes on their respective visits to the region.

They then took a walk in the Downing Street back garden and then horseguards, and continued their discussions upstairs in the Number 10 state rooms.

A Downing Street spokesman said the talks were "warm and engaging".
