    A strong UK labor market

"The UK has one of the best labor markets in the world, with the highest employment and lowest unemployment of the major world economies," said UK Minister for Work, Des Browne.

Unemployment is now at its lowest for nearly thirty years. The number of unemployed people claiming benefit is at the lowest level since 1975.

Every region in the UK has an employment rate above the European Union average.

There are now 28.3m people in work in the UK, the highest figure ever recorded.
